CONJUNCTIVITIS IN BABIES: SYMPTOMS, TREATMENTS AND CARE

Conjunctivitis in babies is a type of inflammation in the eye that can cause symptoms such as redness, yellowish or greenish secretions, itching or discomfort in the affected eye.

Conjunctivitis in babies can be caused by infection of the eyes with microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses or fungi. In other cases, due to allergies caused by contact with pollen, mold, etc.

 

Sometimes conjunctivitis can be confused with a blocked tear duct, due to the symptoms being very similar and the existence of yellowish secretion, which is important to identify.

 
ONJUNCTIVITIS IN BABIES SHOULD BE ADVISED BY A PEDIATRIC OPHTHALMOLOGIST, OR PEDIATRICIAN, ACCORDING TO THE TYPE OF CONJUNCTIVITIS:
